Kennedy, his wife Jacqueline, Texas governor John Connally and his wife Nelly-were riding in a Lincoln Continental Convertible from the Dallas Love Field Airport greeting crowds as they passed through. Mrs. Connally said, "Mr. President, you can't say Dallas doesn't love you," the President replied, "No, you certainly can't," those were the last words spoken by John F. Kennedy.
