    After getting off Air Force One, President Kennedy transferred to his 1961 Lincoln Continental four-door convertible and drove off to Dallas, Texas. Huge crowds lined the streets, eager to see their charismatic young president. As the motorcade turned off Main Street and onto Delay Plaza (pause for suspense) three shots were fired. The shots rang out at around 12:30 pm. One bullet hit Governor John Connally, the other two hit John F. Kennedy in the head and neck. They rushed both to Parkland Hospital just a few minutes away. Sadly, there was little they could do to help President Kennedy. Governor Connally will be in our prayers in hopes of a safe recovery. John F. Kennedy was pronounced dead at 1:00 pm.
