Ladies and Gentlemen this is a sad day for America, today November 22, 1963, president John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He was shot at 12:30 pm and died at 1:00 pm at Parkland Hospital. Our nation will not rest until we know who killed our beloved president. (Become emotional) Why would someone kill president John F. Kennedy? (pause gather emotions into optimism) I know, no, our nation knows justice will prevail in this dark time for (emphasis) the United States of America. (pause for clapping if it comes)
President John F. Kennedy was starting to campaign for his second candidacy and was going to Texas to campaign. He was trying to bring democrats together so he could carry the state in the poles. Our young and ambitious President was ready to win over the people of Texas. Just think, (pause), John F. Kennedy could have done many more great things for this country. He was so optimistic that even through hard times he could make this country (emphasis) great!

After getting off Air Force One, President Kennedy transferred to his 1961 Lincoln Continental four-door convertible and drove off to Dallas, Texas. Huge crowds lined the streets, eager to see their charismatic young president. As the motorcade turned off Main Street and onto Delay Plaza (pause for suspense) three shots were fired. The shots rang out at around 12:30 pm. One bullet hit Governor John Connally, the other two hit John F. Kennedy in the head and neck. They rushed both to Parkland Hospital just a few minutes away. Sadly, there was little they could do to help President Kennedy. Governor Connally will be in our prayers in hopes of a safe recovery. John F. Kennedy was pronounced dead at 1:00 pm.
