During his time in the marines, Oswald can be remembered praising Castro’s views and revolution. There is even a photo taken three months prior to Kennedy’s assassination that shows him and others passing out pamphlets of a pro-Castro organization. During Oswald’s time in Mexico (while he was trying to go to Cuba), he was being watched because he was thought to be an undercover provocateur. According to www.newsweek.com, Thomas C.Mann, the U.S. ambassador to Mexico at the time, had a “feeling in his gut” that Castro paid Oswald to kill Kennedy. Mann sent a document to the CIA containing statements that Oswald was likely involved in threatening event and took bribes from Castro supporting agencies. However, based on the evidence provided, I have come to the conclusion that either Oswald was merely inspired by Castro and Cuban leaders, or that Castro and Cuban agencies assisted Oswald in his successful murder attempt. There are some things that we can know for certain to be facts: Oswald had some motive for killing Kennedy that has not yet been identified, the CIA for sure attempted to kill Cuban leaders, including Fidel Castro, Castro warned the Kennedy administration that Cuba was not afraid to attempt the same thing on the president, Oswald was a major Castro supporter and often praised him, Oswald is recorded on multiple occasions meeting Cuban leaders and representatives while in Mexico, and during at least one Cuban associated meeting Oswald made threats towards Kennedy. Whether ome chooses to believe my argument or not, it can not be denied that this evidence is indeed true. Despite everything, one thing is for certain: the death of an American leader, and the end the end of an era, will forever be remembered as a depressing, major event in U.S.
