My Day (1st draft) Balancing school and personal life and work is a very tough art to master. With class work homework projects quizzes work and family it is almost impossible. With this being my first time in college in college I am trying to figure out the best times to do things. Like study rather than go out with friend, do an assignment now or later, which test to study for with the limited time in the day given. It is all still a juggling act for me at this point in my college career. But the busiest day of them all in my own personal life is Thursday. Sometimes I do not know how will make it threw my, repetitive, boring and draining, and busy Thursday. My morning is pretty repetitive nothing really changes for me from morning to morning to but I prefer it that way. My day starts off with me getting out of bed at about 8 am for my English class at 10am. I get in the shower and get dressed for school this takes me about 45 min. I go down stairs to…

Curley, ENG 101 Central Michigan University Sheryl Sandberg, author of “Lean in: What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid” (Graff, pg. 642-658, 2015) presents a compelling argument that although opportunities for women in the workplace have increased, many women do not take leadership roles because balancing a career with family is too difficult. As a dual enrollment student, I soon became aware of the high expectations that were set for us students. Evidently while becoming a dual enrollment, I began to prioritize and learned to efficiently manage my time, so I could adjust to the standards and expectations designated by the district. However, many other factors came into play such as: recreational activities, balancing school work, maintaining personal and social relationships as well as household and family responsibilities. Lemmon supports and argument made by Sheryl Sandberg in her famous book, Lean In. Lemmon states that women should work hard at their job but also find the time to be home on time to take of their family (Lemmon, 59). Sandberg and Lemmon strongly support the idea of women making decisions just as men. Lemmon says, “each of us has a say in what comes next. And that…

Although I am a person who have difficulty saying “no”, but I also know my limitation when can I do or cannot. The fact that I am come from other country makes me become more of cultural awareness to others. Especially in healthcare that we need to take care of everyone no matter where they are come from, what language they speak,…
A profession is a field of study, considering the textbook definition. My mind defines a profession as a career. Working to gain a career by attending college or any type of vocational school, you are developing a profession. Some employees show hard work and train to advance in a specialty; you have succeeded and accomplished something important that you can be proud. “Professionals are actually servants” Student Handout, (An Army White Paper, The Profession of Arms, 2010, p. 2).
