This may be more difficult to handle for some individuals rather than others, but getting organized is the key to keeping balance in your life. Anyone can sustain a balance in their life, it is just a matter of self motivation and perseverance. Although working and studying are most people’s main priorities, having good health is also very important. Getting enough sleep every night can play a vital role in an individual 's daily life. Not getting enough sleep can cause more stress, depression, lethargy and many other complications that can take a toll on your health. I have experienced this personally, I work overnight so when I get home in the mornings I try to get everything done that I have to do for the day and then sleep for at least 4-6 hours. If i do not get sleep I can become very cranky and can not concentrate when I go to do my schoolwork. You will perform better in all aspects of life if you are well rested. Another pivotal role in sustaining a healthy life is exercise. Make sure to plan time to exercise throughout the week. Even the minimal amount of exercise will stimulate endorphins in your brain which will result in better moods and increased productivity. Eating well will make you feel better and make you perform better in your day to day life. When I plan out my grocery lists, I make sure to buy healthy foods with antioxidants and vitamins rather than corn syrup and carbonation. Unhealthy foods with high amounts of high fructose corn syrup can cause individuals to mentally “crash” and feel sluggish. I believe this is one of the greater influences on doing well in my studies. The use of drugs, alcohol and other mind altering substances will only do more harm to your health and your studies. I have personally seen exceptional “A plus” students go downhill and neglect their schoolwork, resulting in them dropping out of school and ultimately going to jail. Granted they were minor misdemeanors, but it all started from the use of drugs and alcohol. So sleep well, eat healthy, exercise, and stay away from any drugs or alcohol, and you will find it much easier to stay on
