The main twist was that when Katniss was supposed to kill President Snow, she shot President Coin instead. This came as a surprise because throughout the whole book Katniss was talking about how she wanted revenge and that she was going to kill him. Another twist was that Katniss’s little sister Prim was killed when she went to help little kids that had been hurt. Also, that Katniss ended up with Peeta(her Hunger Games partner) instead of Gale(her childhood hunting partner) and Suzanne split Katniss and Gale up at the end of the …show more content…
The first thing I would change is not kill Prim. Yes it makes the story interesting, but Prim and Katniss were just starting to get close and her and her mom already had lost Katniss's father. Another thing that I would change is the fact that Katniss ended up with Peeta and not Gale. Because throughout the book, it seems like Katniss was starting to lean more towards Gale than Peeta. This might be because Peeta gets captured by President Snow. When they finally get him back they find out that he was hijacked, which means the capitol turned his good memories of Katniss into bad memories. Because of this it seemed that Katniss was going to pick Gale. I just would’ve had her stay with Gale and not go with Peeta. There might be different things that you would change, or change nothing at all, but that was what I would have
