The novel “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” can be compared to many different pieces of media from a thematic standpoint. One piece of media that has many significant similarities to this novel is the movie “The Hunger Games”. As the games are about to end Katniss disobeys the rules by attempting to kill herself with her “lover” so that they can both win the games when only one victor is allowed. The gamekeeper stops them and allows both of them to win the games. This is very significant because this is when people start to realize that the capital can be defied. They start to believe in Katniss because she was the first person to defy president Snow and get away with it. This is when she truly becomes the symbol of the rebellion and hope because after this is done riots start to go on in different places. This is also significant because it shows how much one person can do, Katniss started to get the minorities riled up and they started to fight against the capitals guards. Therefore, the theme “Rebellion” is a very essential theme in the film “The Hunger
