Manager utilizes one or more of the three leadership approaches to motivate their employees: situational leadership, transformational leadership, and charismatic leadership. Any of the three methods can be effective if facilitated correctly, however leadership is no longer about just being effective. “Business leaders are being called on to maintain high ethical standards for their own conduct, to unfailingly exhibit ethical behavior, and to hold others in their organizations to the same standards – in short, to practice ethical leadership” (Ebert & Griffin, 2015, p. 291).

Most people fear change and because transformational leader’s purpose is to implement that change, they can be looked at unfavorably. In my experience, transformational leaders come into the organization, make changes, and within two years or less, they leave the organization; they have a pattern of this with different companies.
