Convenience sampling allows the researcher to draw a sample from the larger population, which is readily available and convenient (Bartlett, Kotrlik, & Higgins, 2001). Participants will be nurses in leadership or management positions. Surveys will be sent to Nursing Directors in California hospitals for completion. Nursing Directors will be sent a letter clarifying the study and requesting consent to contact Nurse managers for participation. Once permission is granted, the questionnaire along with an e-mail explaining the research and a statement of informed consent will be delivered electronically to potential participants. All instruments will be combined in Survey Monkey to create one. In order to maintain participant confidentiality, the questionnaires will automatically and electronically be returned via Survey Monkey
