Summary: Kristene Diggins, DNP, MBA, FAANP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also teaches as an adjunct faculty member for University of Phoenix. In her article, “Practicing Transformational Leadership,” while explaining the five pillars of excellence for the Magnet Organization Seal of Excellence, she hones in on transformational leadership being one of them. The author tells us how emboldening others can make an impression in their areas of practice. Diggins talks about how her nurse practitioner leader inspired her by how she cared for her patients by being a servant leader to all those with whom she worked. She changed how she viewed her job as a nurse transforming the lives of others by a Christ-like example.
