Gun control is a weird thing to explain, as many people have different ways to describe it. Gun control is the set of laws that regulate the sale, transfer, and possession of guns. Most countries such as Japan, Israel, and the United Kingdom have restricted firearms. There is a high chance you usually need a licence for use of firearms. In the United States alone, there has been over 667,000 deaths by the hand of a gun. In 2017, there was a total of 307 shootings all together. There is no easy solution to this problem, and I do not believe we’ll ever get the easy way out. But I do believe we can all take basic steps to prevent these occurrences. …show more content…
For starters, guns are the highest chance of death. Suicide, being the number one cause of death, is most likely to happen to the hand of a gun, since it’s the most painless way out. Guns are always at a high risk of being misused, such as suicide, shootings, and abuse. Domestic abuse with guns isn’t common, but does exist. It happens to women and men, abuse becoming homicide. They’re threatened to not tell anyone, being forced to bottle up everything as their life is usually on the line. Guns are rarely used in self defense, making society a bit more dangerous. If we did something about these laws, crime rate would lower
