This study abroad program will correlate perfectly with my Nursing major. I am thrilled that the University of Delaware offers the option to view health care in another country, especially one with different ideas and practices. As a nursing I will constantly be interacting with both patients and physicians. Granting me the opportunity to shadow a physician at a hospital will not only help me understand medical practices, but also how the physician interacts with the nurses and how tasks are delegated in other countries. I personally have multiple families that currently reside in Europe and I have had the thought of trying to work in Europe once I required my BSN degree. A key role in nursing is also communication.
