I also would like to make my patient’s feel at home and would love to connect with them on a personal level. Having a connection would help the patient and me because it will help us grow a bond with each other and make it easier on the type of patient. Another philosophy that I have is making sure that I'm at work on time. Being on time is very important in the nursing field because nurses are supposed to be professionals and to be late is not showing a sign of being professional. My last philosophy is that nurses help people all around the world. If we didn't have any nurses, we wouldn't be able to get checked up or determine what medicine to take if we were

My nursing plan is to obtain my ASN degree and continue to work at Billings Clinic but transfer into PACU as an RN. I would like to work in PACU because it will give me the critical care nursing skills I desire to achieve, as well as a good place to begin my nursing career for experience. I like the idea of taking care of patients who are coming out of surgery and require extra care before they can go home or to a hospital room for overnight stay. As a nurse with an ASN degree my roll would be the same as most of the nurses on a hospital floor; although, in addition to the ASN I would need to obtain my critical care certificate to work in PACU. As a registered nurse with an ASN my roles in this healthcare setting would be to provide and manage quality care for patients, promote healthcare advancements of patient daily living and to ensure proper safety and infection control practices and techniques.…
