Becoming a nurse is a very fulfilling career that is always evolving. My area of work taught me a lot about time management and flexibility due to the nurses having more patients to take care of. In 2014, as a graduate, I did not plan to work with the elderly however that is where the job opportunity opened for me and I took it. Working with the elderly has taught me to value life more, to appreciate those around me. As time have pass, I have enjoyed working with the elderly each day. I really take pleasure in listening to their stories of their youthful days, on days when it is not too hectic, I enjoy making time to speak to them and spending quality time with them even though if it just for a few minutes, I see they really cherish that.
