Personal Narrative: My Trip To Raging Waters

Decent Essays
On July 6th my family and I went to Raging Waters. We all got prepared for the trip. We went in the car and drove to Raging Waters. It took fifteen minutes to go to Raging Waters. During the ride my cousins and I were playing Minecraft, listening to music and playing Pokemon on the DS. When we got there my dad paid for the tickets. After that we changed into our swimsuits. Then we went on a ride called Lazy River. It was fun because at first the river had very cold water but then it got warmer. We swam back and went on another ride. Then, we went to Hammerhead. It was very fun but it took a long time to get up but it was really worth it. It had twirls and turns and we landed in a pool of water! It was really fun! After that we went to a ride

After an intermission that was probably only ten minutes but felt like an eternity, the lights at the Fillmore Theater in Miami Beach dimmed and the crowd erupted into deafening cheers and whistles as “The Flood Tour” started. The anticipation for the moment everyone in the audience had been waiting for since they bought their ticket is nearly palpable. Finally, the drummer starts, setting the rhythm, followed by the guitarist and bassist until lastly the vocalist starts singing and the fans belt out the lyrics as well. At a live show it is nearly impossible to deny the tangible power music has that goes beyond simple lyrics or chords on a guitar. For some people, music is just background noise to have on while studying, working out, or spending…

I gotta go and never stop going for anything worth more than calcified fragments of a shattered past quest. Once again, I turn left where the earth embraces saltwater bodies, and as swamped by their grand manner I lose that bit of conformism still harbors in that vagabond mind of mine. I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till I drop exhausted yet excited to feel alive. But if I'm just dreaming nobody dares open even half an eye of mine. I gotta go and never stop till I get there.…

Bryn, Lauren and I walked through the wooded forest path to get to their house from the middle school for the last time. The shaded path barely shielded us from scorching sun above. We scurried inside to escape the sticky air. As we gathered around the kitchen, Lauren went on and on about this party with a big group, including Madeline and her friends, at the lake. I had tried to be friends with that group long ago; however, I always felt invisible as they and my friends would turn their cold backs on me.…

It was a bright sunny cliche day out at the lake’s airport with only one or two thin wispy clouds high in the Bright baby blue sky. The Sun was beating down on the wide gray runway. The grass was a yellowy color as if the caretakers of the fine establishment did not care if it looked as if they didn’t maintain their property. As the spectating parents and grandparents took bets as how long till we crash, I was thinking on how to get into the plane without bending a wing.…

Water Far in the ocean, I was on a small boat with four people to go diving. Jamie, Bob, Matt, and Mike were there to support me, but they didn’t want to go in the water. I dived into the water, but my heart was pounding, and then, I saw a large grey streak dashing by. Then it came back, and the closer it got to me, the faster I swam away, until it caught up.…
