The Lake-Personal Narrative

Improved Essays
I was simply rowing to the supposedly deepest part of the lake my family decided to camp by. I had decided only to bring myself and my journal. I hadn’t gotten into a fight with my family, not at all. I just craved the adventure of going out onto the lake all alone. When i was finally satisfied with the distance i had gone i stopped. I laid back on the sturdy bottom of the canoe and gazed up at the sky bathed in stars. I could have stayed like that for hours but unfortunately it was time i had to head back to the shore. I needed at least a little bit of sleep tonight. That was when i heard the first knock. At first i thought i had run shroe but i haven't moved an inch. It was easy to shrug off as nothing since it could have been anything.

It all began during the summer of 2015. I had just taken my beat- up fossil of a john- boat off of Gun Lake to fish in a different lake, and were going to put it back on Gun Lake at my grandparent’s house. After rinsing the multitude of worm guts and dirt out of it, we were going to put it back into the lake. My grandparent’s neighbor, Hal, got the chance to come along with me. We vaulted into what we called the “Rhino”, a quad equipped with a driver’s and passenger’s seat.…

Today Kit and i led the group to Izaak Walton lake. I was nervous this morning for taking such a big role. I didn’t want the power to get to my head and end up being mean or over demanding. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. We lived fairly close to each other so we spent a lot of time back and forth between houses. He lived close to a lake and i was morso in the forest so we would switch houses every weekend and explore the area around our houses and hunt for rabbits until we had to go home.…

I turned away and tried to shake it off. I thought about all the plans I had made the night before and was not going to let that hinder my work. Yesterday , when I was just strolling along the river during my vacation at a quiet and peaceful resort, a loud noise suddenly came into my ears. I quickened my pace slightly to the place where the noise came from, and found that a white car fell down into the river when the driver was parking his car into the parking space. Fortunately, the driver was safe, while the most important problem was how to get the car out of the water. Several minutes later, the rescue team arrived along with a truck crane, and they bound the automobile to the hook on the lift arm. After completing the whole preparatory work, they launched the auto-lift.…
