Personal Narrative: A Day At The Lake's Air

It was a bright sunny cliche day out at the lake’s airport with only one or two thin wispy clouds high in the Bright baby blue sky. The Sun was beating down on the wide gray runway. The grass was a yellowy color as if the caretakers of the fine establishment did not care if it looked as if they didn’t maintain their property.
As the spectating parents and grandparents took bets as how long till we crash, I was thinking on how to get into the plane without bending a wing. I hear my uncle giving very in depth instructions on how to step 3 feet to the lift. As the ten minute long tutorial from my uncle finally came to a close, and I finally step into the crisp costume made caiben. Once i was in the cockpit my uncle said “Take a seat Blake.” and

Once inside, stacks of torpedoes ready to be sent to U-boats engulf me. After I set the timer on the torpedoes, I make my way to the underground hanger. Stealing a pilot's uniform, I order the aircraft prepared for testing. Walking cautiously across the tarmac I know this may be my last stroll. With every step, I take my breath catches and have to force myself to release I'm hoping they can’t see the beads of sweat falling from my brow.…

As a man, I hammered nails on a job-site overlooking Base Lake. An east wind rose off the waves, off the beach, rocks, trees, and birds rode it in a circling flock. As I prepared to leave work, I wiped down each tool. I remember Dad finding his hammer in the mud by our fence. He believed I dropped it in the snow.…

Today Kit and i led the group to Izaak Walton lake. I was nervous this morning for taking such a big role. I didn’t want the power to get to my head and end up being mean or over demanding. In the early morning i went around telling people to get water and start undoing their tents. Surprisingly we ate, broke down our gear, and began our stretch circle forty minutes before the usual.…

Imagine a place where everywhere you look, you see beauty, everywhere you smell is crisp fresh air. Everywhere surrounding you are ginormous mountains with snow slowly melting and one huge blue body of water. There are trees all over the place, and everywhere you look you see nature and all of God’s creations. This fascinating place is Lake Tahoe, in Nevada. Lake Tahoe is absolutely one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been.…

I arrive at camp, Camp Long Lake, some people call it a great merry place, others, they would prefer to watch paint dry. At least so I’ve heard. Now I’ve been forced to come to this place due to my inadequate decisions and treating people poorly. So I can only speculate that this week will be an atrocious one.…

Lake of the Ozarks, MO This year, me and my family went to the amazing Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. We went for six days and even though it doesn't seem like that long, we got a lot of things in. We got to swim, go boating, go out to eat, and go shopping. This will have been the sixth time we have gone with my aunt and uncle and one year, our grandparents even came with us! Lake of the Ozarks is my favorite place to go.…

Journal Entry I decided to go and visit the Rainbow Falls Provincial Park because it seemed so unique and attractive. It was a beautiful summer day when my family and I arrived there at five o’clock and settled the trailer, and then went for a walk across Lake Superior. I was stunned by how beautiful and natural the lake was while reflecting the west sun shine.…

The next morning, Mercy surprised Surina by joining her for breakfast on the sunny terrace in the backyard of her cottage. They enjoyed the leisurely meal to the sound of honey bees buzzing around an assortment of flowers in full bloom lining the edges of the garden. Indeed, the fragrance of the rhododendrons, chrysanthemums, foxgloves, roses, and lilies of the valley intermingled to create a unique heavenly perfume. In the past, Surina’s kinetic pace never allowed her enough time for breakfast other than a hasty granola bar before frantically rushing off to the hospital. In contrast, today she luxuriated in a proper full English breakfast.…

We have examined many wonderful stories throughout the course of this year, but my favorite from this year was Once More to the Lake by E.B. White. Magnificently, it encompasses the story of a father sharing one of his greatest childhood memories with his son. As a boy, the father had ventured with his family to the state of Maine, where they spent the month of August living next to a lake. Although there were a couple incidents on his original trip, the father had always been drawn to the peacefulness of the lake and the fantastic memories which were linked to the place. However, the story focused more exclusively on the realization of the father, where he pictured himself as his father and his son as him.…

My vision started to fail on mile four of the six-mile hike. Small white specks flickered across my field of vision. The next thing to go was my hearing, followed by my ability to walk in a straight line. My platoon sergeant saw the signs of heat stroke and forced me to stop. I should have stopped myself, but all I could think was: you will finish this, or you will die trying.…

My greatest passion is collecting and selling shoes. As a younger boy my brother came home from school one day talking very highly of a pair of Air Jordan basketball shoes. I decided to do some research of my own because which little brother doesn’t want to be just like their big bro? In the course of looking up and researching these shoes, I fell in love. My brother ignited a fire in my heart that could not be contained, thus I’d say that I have a burning passion for collecting and selling shoes.…

There is a space between the plane and the corridor. I look over the crack and I see the ground below the plane. I hear the engine roaring beneath me as I step into the opening of the plane.
