Functional area 12: Program management
Make it a good habit in observing each child and document their progress. Have a understanding of the children background to build a respectable relationship with them while cultivating goals to endure. Keep in mind to also obey the policy of the facility. Encouraging children to grow as individuals. Instruct them on being more independent, respectful, considerate, and eager to learn. Also being considerate of parents knowing about their child or children progress. Ensuring parents that their child is well taking care of. Children will be proctored throughout the day.
1. As an observer I paid attention to how the lead teacher kept records and documents on the students and managed them in their portfolios. They made sure the students had the accurate immunizations and eye exam to continue to have a healthy and productive school year. So as things changes you can look over all the goals that were set and examine if they were met for child’s appropriate development. Notify parents

a lead teacher should always have updated information on children to know what and what not to do. for instance, if one of the parents are not allowed to checkout the child the teacher will not allow the child to leave because they were consent not to. the teacher will need to know changes that occur in a child’s life to keep him/her safe, healthy, and clean. So if anything changes you can refer resources that that are available for that particular family. That will show every family that you are truly concerned about the well-being of the child. That’s why it’s important keep everything accurate for safety of the child and also the family if they are in need. That’s what prove to families that you are promoting a well ran program.
