Medical Assistant
Chosen Degree Plan I have chosen the Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. Because I am an Emergency technician for a private ambulance company In Chicago and I want to broaden my education and career more into the health field. I graduated from Alan B Shepard High school in 2009 and worked time in retail as an assistant manager at an Ace Hardware and found that wasn’t what I wanted to do in life. My next door neighbor is a paramedic and I went for a ride along with him and I loved, the fast pace, the adrenaline rush you get going to the calls. I choose to go to Kaplan because my uncle is a former Criminal Justice instructor and he said it’s a great school to further my degree. I’m looking forward to getting my degree with Kaplan and pursing a new career path and better position I’ve also thought about getting a degree in Radiology for an X-ray tech. Most positions are full time, holidays, weekends, nights. “Depending on the employer wages may be more than the national average” according to (salary.com).
