Animals For Research Should Be Banned Essay

I believe that animals for research should be banned. The use of animals for research should not happen because animals feel everything just like humans do. In the U.S. labs, over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused every year. More than 92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human clinical trials because they are either too dangerous or it just does not work. Israel and India have already banned animal testing for cosmetics, and the sale or import of newly animal-tested beauty products. Even though we use animals for research, we should banned what researchers can do to animals. Most animals are being tortured and killed for the shampoo you use, food you eat, the makeup you are wearing, the cleaner you may use at home, or medication you take. Over more than a million animals a year are imprisoned and have terrible procedures done to them. Many of animals used die from these sorts of practices done to them. Over 100 million are killed of research each year in the U.S. alone. The only law they have toward this subject is Animal Welfare Act (AWA), but this law does not place any restrictions on …show more content…
There is no point to use animals for experimentation because most of the things we experiment on them is drugs. And the drugs do not affect them like they affect us. Like most clinical trials (human tests) do not help sick patients that need it the most. So the U.S. is late to banned this. “Australia, Japan, and the E.U. have already banned or limited experiments on great apes in medical research” (“How to get Rid of Animal Testing”). So basically, the U.S. should stop to end all the animal testing for good. A way to help stop animals being used for experiment is like PETA said always buy cruelty-free products, educate others, help stop cosmetics testing in the United States, make a donation. Another thing is leave your body to

Introductory paragraph (introduces the topic) Attention-getter; Imagine, being taken away from your family, and living inside a crowded cage in a laboratory without ever seeing daylight again. “Diphtheria and polio vaccines, antibiotics, modern anaesthetics, the treatments for childhood leukaemia...all owed a huge debt to animal research(Fisher 1)” These diseases were responsible for the agonizing deaths of millions before cures were produced. Notably, now that cures are readily available, they should not be taken for granted, as being spared from these illnesses is one of the greatest benefits from living in the twenty-first century. “If we are to address the unmet medical needs of the 21st Century such as cures for dementia and stroke, then it is likely that some animal research will be necessary.(Fisher 1)” This is important to consider when thinking of banning animal research, because the people of the future do not want to suffer from these ailments as the people…

Most of the experiments performed in the laboratories are so inhumane you could never imagine one human doing it to another. As an animal rights activist, I strongly believe that animal testing should be banned because it is cruel, unnecessary, and delivers inaccurate results. On the contrary, it would be hypocritical of me to say that I wholly support every aspect associated with animal research since I am a huge lover of animals and am aware of the harm and danger they face in research experiments. Nevertheless, I understand both sides of the argument and ultimately agree that the use of animals in biomedical research is a necessary part in advancing our knowledge in the medical field and has even helped improve the lives on animals and endangered animals as well. Biologically, we as humans are very similar to animals such as mice and dogs because we have many of the same organ systems. Therefore, I see no harm in endangering the life on an animal in order to save the life of a human…

Research Format Essay Animal Experimentation Animal Experimentation is wrong in many different ways. Did you know that 21% of animals that go under intense experimentation die? Animals such as mice, rabbits, and pigs are used to undergo experiments for human advancement. These living things deserve to live pain free lives just as much as we do. This is not always thought of because as stated by Jeremey Bentham of neaves.org “many project call for immobilization of a body part or the entire body itself”.…

Why Animal Testing Should Be Banned Everyday innocent animals are being forced into labs and tested for human research advancement. Cruelty Free International states how approximately 115 million animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, dogs and monkeys are used in dangerous laboratory experiments every year. In fact, many of the experiments are said to be useless tests, as stated, “The reality is that the majority of animal experiments do not contribute to improving human health, and the value of the role that animal experimentation plays in most medical advances is questionable” (“Animal Testing is Bad Science”). Misconceptions by the media may stretch the idea how animal testing can cure diseases, illnesses etc.. But actually, as emphasized, animal testing is an inefficient way of finding medical advances, making the procedures to be unnecessary and making there be no reason to force animals into labs without a choice, it's blatantly a waste of animals lives.…

Though I concede that in some situations, animal testing may be useful, such as in immensely important medical studies, I still maintain that it is unnecessary to make an animal suffer and be discriminated against. Although some people may think that animal testing is healthy and beneficial to humans, I believe that animal testing is unethical and utterly wrong because of the unfair repulsive treatment that animals receive from scientists. This topic is important because the world we live in is as much an animal 's world as it is a human’s world and right now humans are discriminating and enslaving…
