Although the story line is different and new characters are involved, the similarities between Tron and Tron: Legacy are undeniable. The original Tron was released in 1982 and is about a computer hacker Kevin Flynn who was formally an employee of ENCOM. Kevin now runs an arcade and is trying to prove that the five video games he created were stolen by ENCOM’s now senior executive Ed Dillinger. While trying to find evidence Kevin is sucked into ENCOM’s computer where the Master Control is the dictator in the digital world. Inside Kevin teams up with Tron (a security computer program written by Alan Bradley) and Yori (a program written by Lora Baines and Tron’s lover) to destroy the master control program and prove that Ed Dillinger stole the games.
