Writing Process Steps

The Steps to the Writing Process Have you ever written a paper and followed the writing process correctly? There are five major steps and many small details that go into writing a paper. The paper can be easily written if the simple steps to the writing process are followed. The first step to the writing process is pre-write, the step where ideas are formed. After the pre-write comes drafting when the ideas previously formed are written down to make the first copy. Once the first draft is written, the next steps are to revise and edit it. Then, after all the mistakes are corrected and the paper is completed, the last step is to publish it. Pre-write is the first step used to get an essay started. In the pre-write decisions are made such as the topic of the paper, the point of view in which the story is told, and who the audience may be. During these stages sentences and words can be moved around and changed to fit into the paper better. Sentences written in the first draft will mostly likely not be perfect and will need to be edited. They also might not fit into a certain paragraph and should be adjusted to fit in the best spot. Also during these stages of writing, grammatical, spelling and other errors will be fixed. Once all the corrections are made and the sentences are in their proper place it is time to move on to the next step of the writing process. The final step in the writing process is publishing. During this step the final copy should be free of errors and neatly written. The paper should to be checked over one last time for any mistakes before it is ready to be published. The final draft can be printed in many ways like a book, magazine, article, essay and even poetry. This is the time to share a written paper with other classmates and teachers, and get their opinions on your
