My Writing Process Analysis

Life is a learning process, you can only learn so much through observation. I firmly believe learning is done best through personal experience and hands on work. My first semester of english in university has certainly been a learning process. Through three essays, all of which have pertained to be analysis papers, I feel that I have honed and bettered my writing skills. These skills were sharpened by my writing process, peer and teacher review sessions, and my revision process, which has shown me I have a strong writing style. Having an effective writing process is necessary in order to construct a paper which meets, and exceeds the requirements. From what I know and have learned, who you chose to review a paper with can decide the final outcome of that paper. Just as I would review someone else’s paper, I would make sure to provide them with enough information on how to better their paper. The peer review process is vey delicate, to be a supportive reviewer you need to understand the topic and concept of the paper at hand. I have personally become a better peer reviewer through several sessions of peer review and by looking at several different papers. For instance, essay one, many of the classmates wrote an analytical paper about Scream. This peer review session was much simpler than the following two, because I had a strong idea from writing on the same topic myself. Going on to essay two was much more difficult for me, because it was much different in terms of possible writing material. However, this challenge made essay threes peer revision process more understandable, and therefore, successful. This peer review process allows me to formulate an eye to detect how people connect their main points to their thesis helping not only myself, but others around me as
