My Writing Process

Writing is an art; we create our thoughts in your mind and express it on paper. Once we start writing we keep getting new ideas and when we re-read what we wrote, sometimes it might surprise us.
I like to write during early mornings or in the evening when it is quiet. My reading table is facing towards the window so when fresh air is in my room, fresh ideas generate inside me as well. I make sure to have some healthy snacks and a bottle of water in front me so I will not crave and think about food while writing.
Writing for me is the process that follows with a lot of preparation. Usually, I prefer to write on the paper. I re-read what I wrote and type that in my computer. If its an essay or a research paper, I will make sure to take review

In regards to my writing process, there have been some central strategies that I have developed over time and some strategies that I have had for as long as I can remember. For example, one skill that I have developed from high school has been to annotate, mark up, and take notes throughout my readings. I found that taking notes really helps me, not only to remember what I read but to go back and be able to point out something in my reading easily. In addition, it helped me understand the readings better.…

Many authors have different ways of writing. Some write as soon as they think of an idea, but some spend time adding onto that idea in their minds, or drawing pictures. Bill Watterson , an author of the comic strip, “Calvin and Hobbes,” and Roald Dahl, author of “Lucky break,” are both very successful writers. Although they write different types of literature, their work habits are similar. Bill Watterson draws if he can’t think of a topic.…

As a writer I work best in quiet places where I have the ability to write with no interruptions. My mind has to be completely free of all other thoughts to write a great paper. Having time beforehand to think about what I am going to write about helps me to be able to sit down and immediately start writing. I also feel successful when I not only write a lot, but when all of the writing is good, I feel as though I have many strengths as well as weaknesses.…

For eighteen years, I have roamed this earth, and for thirteen of those years I have been able to harness my craft in writing. As I look back on those times, I see how much I have improved. I learned that I despised word count essays and loved creative writing assignments. My literacy journey began in kindergarten where they taught us how to write out the alphabet, my name, and simple sentences. I don’t remember everything that about my time in kindergarten, but I do remember how frustrated I was trying to write out my name.…

Over the years, I have defined a technique for writing essays that best suits me. I always type essays on a computer at my desk, which is located in the office space at my house. There is no specific time of day when I decide to write an essay, but it usually will happen late at night when I have finished all my other homework and want to complete it, or I will write my essay early in the morning because I am busy during the day. Usually when I start writing essays, ideas come to me rapidly, so I prefer to write my whole essay at one time. After a couple days, I will go back to it during multiple occasions over the next week to revise it and make it the best it can be.…

Personal Journey Writing has never been a favorite activity of mine, ever since I was young I found it difficult to put my thoughts down on paper. Possibly because I was always afraid of what people thought about the things I was saying. But the thing that impeded my ability to write the most was my lack of concentration, as soon as I start to write down one of my thoughts I find that my mind quickly starts wandering off to other places. I think it happens because I’m not overly fond of writing, and I’d rather be doing something else than struggling to get my ideas on paper. For me there is a bigger issue than just having the concentration to write an essay, the issue is that for me to write a decent paper I need to have a good amount of knowledge…
