Strong diversity and inclusion programs in an organization are of key importance in remaining competitive in the modern business world. Diversity in the workplace helps promote creativity and innovativeness. A workforce that is made up of women and men, various cultural group members, and multiple generations is essential to obtaining that creativeness and helping it flourish.

For example, it would be an ordinary occurrence if an organization was in an all Hispanic community and its workforce was all Hispanic. Moreover, if an organization was rooted in a diverse community, like most areas around the United States, then it would likely have a diverse team of individuals employed. Such as Fresno Pacific’s diverseness, they advocate and welcome people with different colors of skin, gender, age range, backgrounds, religions, and socioeconomic levels. With all this promoting of diversity within their students and staff, you would think that they have a highly proficient diversity plan, but they do not.
An initial critique of Fresno Pacific University’s diversity plan, would without a doubt, be: to get a diversity plan. Though there is not any statistical data on Fresno Pacific Universities’ diversity, they have so many buildings located in contrasting communities and their staff and student body prove that diversity is evident. Consequently, it is only right for their organization to be equipped with the personal awareness of bias reactions or behaviors towards other’s differences.
