With the 2016 presidential race nearing its end, Americans all over the country are coming to the decision of whom it is they want to run the country for the next four years. Three representatives from the Republican party and two representatives from the Democratic party remain standing. While each candidate has his/her strengths and weaknesses, one candidate is the best choice. This candidate is none other than Bernie Sanders. The ideas Bernie proposes will only help to better America in the years coming. Like each of the candidates, Sanders’s campaign is based off of the ideas he will put into action and the choices he will make if he is elected into office. Of these, Bernie’s proposal for free higher education stands out immensely. Along with making these higher institutions free, Sanders also plans on reducing the interest rates on student loan debts (Bernie Sanders on Education). Over the last decade or so, college tuition has become a burden that many students are unable to bear. Throughout his campaign, Bernie has spoken of his plan to help put everyone through college regardless of financial background. These six steps are: MAKE TUITION FREE AT PUBLIC COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.
This is not a radical idea. Last year, Germany eliminated tuition because they believed that charging students $1,300 per year was discouraging Germans from going to college. Next year, Chile will do the same. Finland, Norway, Sweden and many other countries around the world also offer…
