Improved Essays
Right now, thousands of children around the world are in a ‘live or die’ situation, in which their mother decides, without even them knowing, whether to keep or terminate them. Because this topic of abortion covers a wide range of aspects, this essay will present two groups. The Pro-Choice group who argue that a women has a right to abortion, because it is her body and she can choice what she wants to do with it. The Pro-Life group who argues that the women should not have a right to choose if she gets an abortion because the baby is alive and also has a choice in say.
Although many people would disagree that a woman should be able to make her own choices on what she does to her body, abortion is something that should be optional to the woman

Women’s right help with abortion even though they have rights most people try to control whether or not they get an abortion or not even though they have the rights to make up their own decisions. This proves that women still don’t have enough rights to choose whether or not they can get an abortion because some people in this world still believe that it’s wrong to get an abortion but some people can’t handle the baby and need an abortion. “Nor is it necessary for physicians performing abortions to have hospital admitting privileges”(source 2)This quote is talking about how hard abortions are to actually do. One mistake and you could end up in the emergency room. They say the earlier you get your abortion the less harder it would be to actually do the abortion. Even though most people think abortion is wrong because they are killing a living human if you get the abortion quick enough the baby isn’t actually living but most people don’t know that and still think it’s wrong to have an abortion. This quote proves the thesis by saying that the longer you wait to get the abortion the harder the surgery would be to do because if you were to get the abortion early then it wouldn’t be as dangerous and it wouldn’t be considered killing a living human being because it takes up to 16-17 weeks before the baby is considered fully alive. Even though most people think that having an abortion is …show more content…
“Murder is the “unlawful killing of a human being” with some level of intent.”(source 6) People are right about abortion being murder. But what they don’t know is that the baby in the womb isn’t actually considered alive until 16-17 weeks in the womb so if the woman was to have the abortion within the 16 to 17 weeks then it really wouldn’t be considered murder and besides the woman should be able to choose if she wants an abortion because she may have health problems or she just wouldn’t be able to take care of the child. People say that abortion should be illegal because you’re murdering a human being which could be true at some point but again some people don’t know that the baby isn’t fully alive until 16-17 weeks. For example “This is why abortion must be illegal if murder is illegal. It should never be “lawful” to kill any innocent human being.” In this quote they are saying that it should never be lawful to kill an innocent human being but these people don’t know what situation the woman could be in and why she needs the abortion. Maybe she has health problems or was forced to have this baby. “It’s wrong for a mother to have the right to kill her children.” Most people think it’s not the mother’s choice to have the right to kill her own child while the child is in the womb. Which is completely wrong

I say this because people think that it’s the right thing to do if they know that they won’t be able to take care of the child. A lot of woman who experience unintended pregnancy undergo abortions also. Hospitals around America stopped providing the choice for a woman to have an abortion.…

In recent discussions of women having abortion, a controversial issues has been whether it should be against the law or not for women to have an abortion. On one hand, some argue that it should be against the law for women to have an abortion because some a portion of the population thinks it should illegal since the mother is ending her pregnancy by killing the baby. They believe it is considered murder since the mother is practically killing the fetus. On the other hand, however, others argue that women should be allowed to have an abortion if they want to because if the individual believes that she is not able to support the baby or does not want to have it due to personal issues, then the mother should be able to abort the pregnancy.…

Meanwhile the definition of abortion remains the same and is an intentional killing of a human being. How is it that if it it murder to kill a human being at any stage of life abortion is not considered murder. Abortion is one of the most controversial and hotly debated topics of this day and age. The reason for this surrounds the idea of whether the induced expulsion of the fetus is murder or rather in the interest of the mother. Pro-life activists debate that all life in the instant of its conception is innocent and deserves a chance at life. God chooses its time of life and death, not the mother. Pro-choice followers often argue in favor of science and the United States Constitutional Ninth Amendment, which holds freedom of choice sacred.…

Abortion is a huge problem that has caused a wide range of controversy all over the United States. There are two sides to the problem, which are people who oppose abortion or support it. Abortion becomes a big deal when trying to decide whether a fetus should be considered a human being already when a woman aborts. In my case I believe that a woman should not be able to abort a child inside her unless there is some type of serious medical issue where the child may not come out alive. When a woman aborts a child, they did not want, it is like the killing of another human being who had no say or ever did anything wrong to deserve it.…

One of the main arguments in regards to abortion is that abortion is murder. Some people believe that even if a baby has not yet been born and a woman has an abortion, an innocent baby has been murdered. According to the Federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, any person who is “intentionally attempting to kill” an unborn baby is to be punished (Public Law, 2004). Other individuals use the Roe v. Wade to support their case. In 1973, Roe V. Wade came to be recognized, which allowed for all women to make their own medical decisions and to be accountable for abortions in that each woman should have the right to choose what happens to her body (Planned Parenthood, 2016).…
