There will be a general mood and feeling of togetherness excitement and lightness (happy and stress-free) among the people. Hence, commercials will be along the same lines. Coke, google, Buick, Febreeze is the commercials which incorporated the same feeling of togetherness and excitement. Emotions play an important role in advertising because people relate to feeling and emotions more than information. Commercials that incorporate lots of emotion – humor, hard-hitting truth (sad), pleasures of life (romance and happiness) tend to be more successful than commercials that just present information about the product. This year, companies did strategize well in terms of emotions to use because of the current political events that have taken people aback, From a consumer point of view, commercials are mere advertising strategies by a company to increase their sales.
