Introduction
I. Attention Getter: In 2014 111.5 million people watched the Super Bowl. (Riccobono, 2014)In 2015 114.4 million people watched the Super Bowl. (Riccobono, 2015). How many people watched the Super Bowl this year? How many people watched it and got to see the commercials that are anticipated every Super Bowl? Well all of you have just been involved in sports marketing.
II. Thesis Statement: Today I want to talk to you about sports marketing.
III. Preview Statement: First, I want to tell everyone what marketing is. Then I want to discuss two different strategies that companies can use to market their product through sports which are venues and endorsements.
IV. Relevancy Statement: Some ways sports marketing are relevant to a group of college students is that as some of us just showed that we have personally been involved in sports marketing, also we as college students see advertisings everywhere we go and look. I will discuss more how this is related later on in the speech.

Credibility Statement: The reason I chose this topic is because I am majoring in business marketing so I have taken many classes and still have more to take in the following years. Also my first ever business class I took, the teacher assigned a group project in which I got randomly assigned to do the marketing part of a business plan that we had to create. She gave us a grade on each part of the business plan and my marketing plan got a “B+”
