Whenever someone asks me what my major is, I get this euphoric feeling inside of me that cannot wait to explain to them that I get to be a teacher some day. I know that they will ask me why I want to be in school the rest of my life or how I will get by financially, but I will get to look them in the eyes and tell them my story on how it is so much more than that and why I am so in love with the idea of teaching. I strongly believe that teachers have the power to not only change the world, but to improve it. It starts with future educators like me. I want to inspire the youth. I want to take my students and shape them into the best version of themselves that they can be. I want to be a role model for them, and someone that they can feel safe spending each and everyday with. I want my classroom to feel like a second home to all students. When I see a kid smile, after all the hard work and effort trying to figure out a problem that finally clicks and makes sense, I get a feeling of accomplishment. I strongly believe that each student can succeed, but it takes patience and guidance. I want to be their guide. I want to take an individual and make them believe that they can do it. To let them know that their hopes and dreams are right in front of them. I want to make kids work harder than they ever thought they could. At the end of the day, if a student of mine still does not understand a concept, I want to go the extra mile and brainstorm a new way to teach it so that each…
