I’m writing you today in regard the opening at your company. I would like to express my interest in obtaining the position, and am thankful for the opportunity to apply, as I feel that I am an excellent fit for this job. I am a polite, positive, and a hardworking young lady with 5 years of experience with customer service through my involvement with Childcare, Tutoring, Home Organizing, and even Retail.
In being a involved in Childcare and Tutoring, I have spent a lot of time with children; having looked after many kids over the years for afternoons, evenings, and all day during the summer months. We most often participate in crafting sessions, and even trips to the park or for nice walks. Sometimes, my job also involves providing tutoring for the child that I’m watching over. Being in childcare is a very important role, and so I have learned to become a very responsible and people serving person.
I have previously worked at Barnes & Noble as a Cashier, and though I wasn’t there long, I was able to increase my interaction with many different people. As a Cashier, my main title description included operating the register, maintaining knowledge of store merchandise, and providing great customer service. I started a History Club, and lead the students in competing in the National History Bowl’s PA State Championship in Lancaster, PA. During this time, I was also the Entertainment Editor of the Newspaper, and a member on the Mock Trial team. While in my first year of college, I joined Kappa Delta sorority where I was able to become active in organizations such as Girl Scouts of the USA and Prevent Child Abuse America.
