No website is made instantly available for the people to use, it takes months to debug and finalize it. Larger companies such as Apple must test their websites extensively to ensure that their website is user-friendly and offers easy navigation throughout the site. Apple, one of the largest technology companies, must provide a site that is attractive and eye-catching. Does Apple’s website prove to be an organized and well created website compared to its’ competitors, such as Samsung?
Many components must be laid out before building a website for the use of many people. One of the main components is the navigation and the visuals of the site. Apple is in direct competition with many other tech companies, such as Samsung. Apple’s website can

When we first open up the site, we see a dark colored navigation bar with products that Apple offers, very neatly organized. This means I can see the products on the main page and instantly select what I want. On the bottom is a slideshow representing Apple’s newly launched products in which the pictures are clickable. Apple’s visuals are very pleasing to the eye because of their use of color combinations and how Apple portrays nature into its pictures is beautiful. Comparing Apple’s visuals and ease of navigation throughout the website, I am going to examine these components on Samsung’s website. Samsung, however, is a manufacturer of a variety of things, that range from washing machines to home security to cell phones and minor phone accessories. Like Apple, Samsung’s website is very simple, www.samsung.com. Samsung’s navigation bar offers primary product and then a drop down menu to the particular item. Samsung’s product line is massive; however, Samsung has done a good job of organizing their products. Samsung’s main page loses my interest in the website as it is not interesting and …show more content…
The Apple search feature on their website is not very impressive or up to date considering that Apple is one of the largest companies in the world. I use the search feature a lot on many other websites because it saves time. On Apple’s search bar I wrote “iPhone” and as the site yielded a total of about 1000 results, which is unnecessary. The search showed links to the iPhone rather than showing us the products and their prices like Samsung does. Underneath the two important options were random web links to different topics and things that I would consider useless because they were

The Apple brand is an incredibly strong brand hence ‘Promotion’ is mentioned first. Apple, surprisingly, do not spend as much on advertising as one would think. Like previously mentioned, trust is easy to lose and with this decision the majority of people have lost trust in Apple (The Verge). Google responds to this situation by mentioning in their advertisement that their phone includes a 3.5mm headphone jack which is “surprisingly not new” (Google). The appeal to logos is evident here by stating facts. Every feature of the Google Pixel is new but the headphone jack has been around for quite some time and Google plans to keep it that way. Taking Apple’s misfortune and creating an advantage with it is a great way to try to win the hearts of iPhone users and will most likely get them to stay attracted to their brand.…
