Office Depot Evaluation

When comparing the convenience of these three websites, I found the Office Depot to be the most convenient. I believe this due to the fact that I find the website to be more organized. There a keywords that are very specific that guide you to the information that you want quickly. As well as keywords, there are pictures that help lead you to where you want to go. I found Dell to be fairly convenient as well. The Dell website is set up in a similar way to Office Depot. There are keywords, dropdowns, and ways to filter your search on the website. However, I don’t find this website as visually appealing and as easy to use as the Office Depot website. The American Express website is setup very different than the previous two websites. I believe that the Office Depot had the highest quality of content on their website. When I clicked on a product it has all of the information I wanted to know right there in a list that was easy to access and read. On the Dell website, the information was there but I had to click different buttons and scroll down to find the information that I wanted. The content was essentially the same, just not as visually appealing. I found that the American Express website lacked in quality content. The sites showed the key benefits and offers of their cards, but if you wanted more detailed information you had to read the terms and conditions of the cards. The needed information is more challenging to find on their website such as the rates and fees. So I would have to say that the American Express website has the worst content when comparing to the other …show more content…
Usability refers to methods for improving ease of use during the design process. The goal of a website is to be easy and pleasant to use. A website also needs to provide the features its users want. On the Internet Usefulness is a key component for survival. If the company’s website is difficult to use, people will simply leave the site. If the homepage fails to deliver what the company has to offer, visitors leave the site. If users get lost on the website, the information is hard to read, or doesn’t provide the information needed, people will leave. People don’t want to spend a lot of time trying to figure out a website. They will move on and find a company that has a more useful website.
For the American Express website, I would recommend a total site redesign. The company needs a website as good as their products. A poor website could make you get the impression of a poor product or company. The site needs to be user friendly and easier to access. The company needs to add quality content instead of having the user having to read the small print of the long terms and conditions agreements. This makes it appear that the company has something to hide by not stating the valuable information. The website could have more keywords to access the information users want to find

United States vs. American Express Company Hannah Garcia Professor Lignugaris In 2010, the United States State Attorney and seven other states filed a lawsuit for antitrust violations against American Express. This report gives insight into the many issues with the Brazos Church Pantry website that were found through the usability study. At the beginning of this study my colleagues and I sat down and looked at the website and found a few issues with the website just . Later on we conducted a usability test where we had several students from Texas A&M sit down and look at the website while answering open-ended questions and got their opinion of the website. We later collected the data from the test and came up with what we believed were the most important issues the website has and provided recommendations for it. The initial reaction to the story about the corner store was that the corner store did not take checks or the woman has paid with a check that did not work in the past. I originally agreed with Irving's initial interpretation's but I now agree with the couple if the white husband was able to pay with checks at the same corner store I think the store clerk was being racist and would not let the wife pay with a check because of the color of her skin. The store clerk would not agree with the couple's interpretation because it would make the clerk and the store look bad.…
