In this course, I learned about writing steps like making a draft before you begin and not to write what you feel in your essay. I also learned about great note taking techniques. Today I learned about punctuation, pronouns, sentence errors and run-on sentences, Example: I love to write papers I would write one every day if I had the time. There are two complete sentences in the above. Example: Sentence 1: I love to write papers. Today I learned about plagiarism and MLA. Plagiarism is illegal and you could suffer profound consequences if you copied someone else work without citing it and using quotation marks. I learned that organizing an effective essay is like constructing a new building. It requires a detailed plan, a blueprint to develop a thesis statement. An outline serves as a blueprint for an essay and helps guide the writing process. How to develop my outline into a draft by adding depth, significant detail, and evidence to my outline.
