The commercial uses pathos by showing a killer trying to kill a kid with an ax but as he tries to kill him his ax falls off. It is funny to the audience because the killer stops what he's doing and has to figure out how he's going to fix his ax. It's convincing the audience that all you have to put is a little bit and the glue will hold whatever your fixing together. Another way the commercial uses logos is after the killer glues the ax back together he swings it in all kinds of directions. It's showing people that the glue will stick and keep stuff together.
The commercial was effective because it caught people's attention very easily. It uses a skit to attract people to watch it. If you are watching TV and you see a guy getting chased by a killer it is going to catch the eye of most people because they are going to want to see what happens to the guy. When the gorilla comes in it will make people laugh, then when he hands the killer the Gorilla Glue they will want to know more about the product and what it can be used
