Summary Of Michael Vey: The Prisoner

In my book, Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25, the theme is teamwork. Throughout the entire book, the characters all help each other to achieve their shared goals. For example, when Michael needed a ride to Pasadena, the school bully who stayed back in school and has a license, got him there. Also, when Michael, Taylor, and Ostin started the Electroclan, they helped each other by researching what happened to them making them electrical. For these reasons, I think the following article, poem, and short video suite my book’s theme. The article I have chosen is titled Importance of Teens & Team Work. This article describes why you should learn teamwork. “More than 44 million kids participated in athletic activities in the year 2008 alone, according to the National Council of Youth Sports.” This is what it says in the article regarding how many kids play sports. The article proceeds to explain that you will fail in sports if you don’t know how to use teamwork. It says that when you don’t know how to use teamwork, you will not pass the ball to other people ultimately resulting in you and your team failing. The commercial shows someone and their friend trying to get a job. The person’s friend, sabotages the employer’s interview by beating himself in his office, causing everyone to leave the interview. When they leave, the person who wanted the job is there because he and his friend staged it. This is a good display of teamwork because the person and his friend work together to get a job. Without teamwork in this situation, the person would have had to go through the normal interview process. This would have put him at the risk of not getting the job. This is relevant to the book because it displays
