Process mapping is a graphical demonstration with illustrative descriptions of patient experiences have over time of services, it represents the total number of steps taken, as well as the total number of people involved, the total time taken to perform the process step, and all documents used. Understanding the patient journey and their parallel experiences of services with process mapping is essential, because it could then become a template for identifying key service touch points and improvements.
