There are several ways advertisers can catch ones attention and earn their money. Some of the techniques are subtle while others are obvious. Advertisers use pictures, celebrity endorsements, and promises of what their product can do for the consumer to improve their lives. Advertisers use many different techniques in their campaign to make the consumer feel compelled to purchase their products. Persuasion in many different forms is a powerful technique used in selling products to consumers. Whether it be humor, sex appeal, wealth, or just common sense, an advertisement can cause many people to feel the need to purchase products in order to improve their lives. It uses floral decorations on the bottle, her dress, and her hat. It was found in Good Housekeeping Magazine. The product states that if you spritz the bowl before you go no one would ever know you had used the restroom. Women do not want anyone to know when they have used the restroom. The floral images lead one to believe that it leaves a fresh clean scent. The floral images appeal to a woman because most women like the smell of flowers. They use a woman as the only character in their advertisement. She is laughing in the picture holding a bottle of Poo-Pourri which leads one to believe that she has used the product before using the restroom and that in fact the product has covered the smell.
