This can be because the student will not be there to get the education but to be closer to their friends. Then it means that they will have to retake that same course again, it is really not fair for those that actually want to get an education because they are just taking up spots for that class. The only way that you should be getting community college for free is to have a minimum GPA of 2.3, this way you will at least know that they are trying and not just slacking off all the time. As community college is not an expensive place to be getting a tuition it is expensive to some people. These people have special benefits, they get the tuition for free and aside from getting the free tuition they get $5730 for books and for other expenses. This is the reason that there should not be free community college because if you don’t have the money then you will either way somehow get the help and if you have the money but don’t want to waste the money you can possibly get scholarships depending on your income. As a conclusion, community college should not be for free because they are already really full and the classes fill up so fast and if you make it free then some people won't get the education that they want because if classes being

Wang believes the solution is making community college tuition-free for those taking at least six credits and maintaining at least a 2.5 grade point average. His explanation is fair; students who concentrate on work and uphold their grades should have this privilege. He states, “The White House claims if implemented nationwide, the plan could benefit roughly 9 million students per year, saving them an average of $3,800 annually in tuition” (Wang). He also added that “Federal funds will cover three-fourths of the expenses, and states that choose to participate will cover the remaining quarter” (Wang). Knowing that a resolution is attainable keeps me hopeful for the…
