When I first decided that the field in which I was working, Early Childhood Education, was not what I felt passionate about, I decided to reevaluate my life goals. As soon as I chose to adventure on the path to becoming a Registered Nurse many doors opened. I finally felt like I had made the right decision that becoming an Registered Nurse and taking care of patients was my purpose in life. All of these “doors” made it feel like God was telling me “Yes this is for you.” With that I applied to Augusta Technical College taking only one class to make sure I had time to focus, gather myself and readjust to the college life. After confirming what I already knew inside, that Nursing was my purpose, I looked at the steps that I would have to follow to obtain my dream. I was first going to have to talk to someone that had already gone through the educational process, next I networked, and then I spoke with representative from Georgia Regents University. After speaking with Georgia Regents University I made the decision to transfer to Georgia Military College. The pay, the requirements, job duties, and anything else that comes along with the job do not matter. I will do whatever it takes to succeed and obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After my Bachelors I intend to continue to take classes for however long to achieve my Masters of Science in Nursing.
