My Career Goals For Nursing

Nursing has always been my passion and my life has been devoted to achieving just that. I was extremely excited to come across this Nurse Residency Program in Pediatrics as this is directly in line with my career goals. I would be an excellent candidate for this opportunity at Broward Health as I recently graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing with my Bachelors degree. I have obtained my Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse and am certified with American Heart Association, Basic Life Support as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The diverse community among the Broward Health systems has attracted me to begin my nursing career within this corporation. I am proud to be the third generation of my family to become a part of this rewarding nursing community. It has always been a passion of mine to help others. Failure was never an option for me while on this journey to closing one dear chapter of my life. I want to be able to wake up and want to go to work and the only way I knew this would happen is if I passed nursing school and became a nurse which I am honored to say I have done just that. Now all I need to do is actually begin working in this field to truly make my dreams come true. Nursing is my calling in life not just a career! I want to make miracles in all my patients and families lives for the rest of my life. I should be chosen for this Pediatric Nurse Residency program! I am ambitious, energetic and extremely eager to learn and grow with the Broward Health community. I have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate my patients and families needs. I will give my all and nothing less; this is my chance to shine! I will provide exceptional quality care to all patients as well as their families. I have always loved kids and relate well to children. Family centered care is important to me and working in the pediatric unit gives me the opportunity to also work with the patients families as well. I would like to provide care and comfort in this difficult time of their lives and help my patients maintain their optimal quality of life. Another area would be Labor and Delivery. One of my close friends had her first child at Broward Health and it wasn’t exactly the best experience. I would want to make sure that every patient feels comfortable and receives the ultimate quality care possible.
