K State Strengths And Weaknesses

Decent Essays
The greatest strengths I see in the K State Community are the club organizations and friendship, and I will be contributing in the best-suited club that fits me as a wild cat to make it feel as if I was home.
With so many different club organizations to choose from it will make it easier to choose which club fits my personality. Also K State has good diversity within the campus, which will make it feel like I am home. Home has the comfortable feeling when you are with your friends and family just the way I will make it feel when I am with the wildcat community. This essay is comparing the colleges of kansas state and emporia state. Between the two, i'm leaning towards K-State. The main differences between them are the size of the schools, the courses that they offer, and where they're located. Size matters when deciding a school. It affects your classes, how you get around, and the atmosphere of the school.…

Spending my time on campus in that way have allowed me to meet the most amazing people, with the most incredible stories. I have seen from single mothers with perfect GPAs, to high school students who balance their prom year with Calculus III classes, and international fathers trying to create a brighter future for their children. All of them, myself included, are grateful to the Lone Star community. Here, we all receive support on a personal level. When the situation got bad in Venezuela, I do not think I would have received as much support anywhere else as I did here.…

Since the moment I got here I felt at home. Even before I decided to attend Florida Southern, my admissions counselor was extremely patient and helpful. Now, as a student I work in Admissions as a Southern Ambassador. While giving tours, I have noticed what a small and great community Florida Southern is; current students wave at us on a tour showing how friendly our campus is, professors smile at us showing their excitement in seeing potential new students. Whether you are involved in greek life or you are a member of other organizations and clubs, you can always leave your mark on campus.…

The blacker the college, sweeter the knowledge. As kids, we see shows and movies such as A Different World and School Daze then imagine attending an HBCU being fun and adventurous. Not realizing and understanding the essence of having a place in the world where you can relate with people of different shades of melanin and personalities. The mission of an Historically Black College or University is to give blacks the opportunity of higher learning and allow them to graduate with multiple job lineups. From my perspective, an HBCU should make you feel more welcome than a PWI would, make you feel wanted and appreciated.…

Before addressing why Pitt is a good choice for me, I would like to review why I am a good choice for Pitt. The University of Pittsburgh values their “talented, diverse and high achieving students”, their “safe and healthy campuses”, their unique balance of “fun and camaraderie with internships and other learning opportunities outside the classroom”, and their focus on “developing students into global citizens” (University of Pittsburgh webpage, ‘Prospective Students’). I am a well-rounded student who places priority upon academics, as well as a broad array of performing arts extracurricular activities, over 300 hours of community service, several job experiences and religious organizations. Therefore, if admitted to The University of Pittsburgh, I would fit right in with the ardent and accomplished student body, just as I would benefit as a person and as…

I want to go to UNC Wilmington for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons I can think of would be because movies and films is one of my greatest passions and UNC Wilmington has one of the best Film programs in the state. The beach has always been one of my favorite places and if I can possibly go to college at the beach it would be a dream come true. NC State's community consists of many diverse people, making up organizations and clubs that beneficial to there selves and to the community around them. If i am admitted into NC State I plan to take part in several types of clubs in order to get involved in the community and too understand more about the diverse culture of the campus area. The types of clubs I wish to seek are religious based and charitable based; I would benefit tremendously by taking part in groups of this nature because i would be able to find people with similar morals and beliefs as I do while being able to make a difference in the community and also I highly enjoy working with children and special needs people. I would also like to take place in athletic associated groups, I have always been fond of exercising and sports such as basketball and baseball. Ever since I stopped playing baseball in High School I have missed the sport and have wished to find a way to get back involved with athletics and NC States community offers many great ways for me to do…

` I expect or hope from Kentucky Wesleyan to make lifelong friends, memories, and to receive a quality education to move on to either a masters or graduate program. Even though freshman orientation this past weekend made me feel like I went to church camp, I liked meeting the other freshman that entering this new stage of life as well. Just knowing that 100+ others out there struggling along with me makes college a little bit more bearable. Just within the past week I’ve become pretty close with the other incoming freshman softball girls, and slowly becoming more involved with the older girls. I’m hoping to make my softball career in college as successful as my high school career, but I know with that comes twice the work and determination as it did before.…

One of the reasons I would be honored to be a student ambassador is because I want to introduce and familiarize other prospective students with the school that I love so much, that has opened so many doors of opportunities, introduced me to so many amazing people, and has given me a top notch education. I want to encourage students who are perhaps unsure if WSU is right for them, or if college in general is right for them, that WSU and all that it has to offer makes it the place for anyone, from all backgrounds, all experiences, and all areas of interests. This is because WSU also offers majors, clubs and organizations, and communities in which anyone can find a sense of belonging and acceptance. Aside from the school itself, WSU is home to…
