Berry College has completely changed my life for the better. Since coming here, I've grown so much as a person- I've met incredible people, I've learned both in and outside of the classroom, and I've had countless memorable experiences on this campus. With the help of both faculty and friends, I've become a more confident and self-assured person. For example, I never thought I would have the courage to try and tackle Shakespeare, but thanks to supportive faculty and encouraging fellow students, I'm a part of the cast of The Tempest. This school has gone above and beyond to help me realize my potential and exactly what I am capable of.…

I am from a town close to Statesboro, and Georgia Southern is the school my dad went to. I grew up hearing stories about the fun times that he had here, and anytime we came to Statesboro he would take me around campus and show me his old dorm, apartment, and class buildings. My favorite story to listen to him tell is about the watermelon that would be cut and given out to all of the students. I fell in love with the school in his stories, and when I was given the chance to choose, I picked Georgia Southern. I duel enrolled at Georgia Southern for two years before I was enrolled as an official college student.…

I have not been the same person for more than a day. From the very beginning I have been molded and cast by the world around me in a constant harmony of giving and receiving experiences and lessons. To colligate all the experiences one endures through life, into one general description, such as positive or negative, would be to grossly understate the impact of every single moment and the beauty of each detail. I wish to give more to the world and my community, through appeal and beauty. At FSU I can hope to get a head start in my education in advertising to be able to ignite a passion in others through research and communications.…

After touring Georgia College, I became excited for the future ahead of me. I can visualize myself draped in a dark robe, standing on a stage to receive my diploma, thinking nostalgically of the memories I hold with GCSU. I think of the clubs I involved myself in such as environmental initiatives and community service clubs. I notice my peers who helped me to succeed, regardless of how overwhelmed I sometimes felt, who encouraged me and reminded me of my strengths. I reflect on the semester I spent abroad to embrace the Spanish culture and language.…
