Why did you choose to apply to UCF? I initially became interested in UCF after searching “most lgbt friendly colleges in the U.S.”, and UCF came up as the number one. I did some more research and found that UCF has a great business program, which is what I would like to major in. After touring the beautiful and updated campus I fell in love and decided to apply. Orlando would make a great(give me another word nat) place for me to start my career after college with all the great internship opportunities at Disney or one of the various sports teams located in the area.…
I want to attend SDSU for many reasons, one being how I am a San Diego “native,”I was born in the county of San Diego and have resided here my whole life. All the experiences and knowledge I have gained has occurred in this area. Most of my family live in San Diego so by going to SDSU I will still be able to see them everyday and go to them when I need advice. I would not have to worry in adjusting to a new life or a new city. I know the roads and stores in San Diego, I have visited the SDSU campus at least once a year, for tours, sporting events or concerts.…
I anticipate at the University of Delaware I will be welcomed. It is a true community. I love diversity and meeting new people. Due to my multicultural background, I am very used to adjusting and adapting to new environments as it has become quite routine in my upbringing. I have moved schools, states and continents and I have grown quite fond of traveling and meeting new people.…
I used to hate Baylor. Even the idea of attending Baylor seemed ludicrous to me. My conception of Baylor was very limited and only consisted of that which at had seen at my small high school. Every person that I knew that went to Baylor was crazy. For example, was one girl in particular that truly convinced me that Baylor students were…unhinged.…
In the mornings you have a usual time to wake and start getting ready, whether it’s for work, school, or anything. First, you take a shower if you haven't the night before. Then you get dressed after showering if you have your clothes all picked out. Finally, you fix your hair, brush your teeth, get your bag ready or anything else that needs to be done.…
The blacker the college, sweeter the knowledge. As kids, we see shows and movies such as A Different World and School Daze then imagine attending an HBCU being fun and adventurous. Not realizing and understanding the essence of having a place in the world where you can relate with people of different shades of melanin and personalities. The mission of an Historically Black College or University is to give blacks the opportunity of higher learning and allow them to graduate with multiple job lineups. From my perspective, an HBCU should make you feel more welcome than a PWI would, make you feel wanted and appreciated.…
Choosing the right college was extremely difficult when I was a senior in high school; the only factor I was looking into for my decision-making process was a close kit college. Therefore, I began touring multiple small universities, which brought me to Gwynedd Mercy University. One particular moment really drew me into Gwynedd was when I was with my tour guide. As the tour went on, I watched as she greeted everyone she passed, and the overall friendly and familial nature of the students and the campus became very apparent. By the conclusion of the tour I had already sent in my paperwork to attend the following semester.…
At Swarthmore I feel comfortable, and with such a small and diverse campus I would finally get to have the cultural experience I've been yearning for my…
I would love to attend Archbishop Mitty High School because of all the wonderful things I experienced during 7th day, shadowing, and open house. From the start, I knew that Mitty was the school right for me. I have always felt very comfortable walking on campus because I know so many people, and I know how every staff member is so friendly and full of hospitality. On seventh grade day, I got to look around the school, try the lunches, and was told lots about Mitty by the wonderful and caring staff. I enjoyed the rush of Monarch Madness.…
I knew I wanted a place where I could expand my horizons, meet new people, and leave with a better understanding of the world and its cultures. Out of my top three college choices, the University of Toledo was the most diverse. The university is large enough to attract students from all over the nation and other countries, while maintaining the culture of Toledo itself. I am very interested in studying abroad, and the University of Toledo has wonderful programs for this. Most recently, the campus had International Week which was very fun and interesting.…
It has been very rewarding. I have met a host of wonderful people. Staff and students combined. The campuses are always nice and clean and the resources are…
There are a myriad of reasons that lead to my initial interest in the Naval Academy. One of the more prominent reasons was being raised in a family with a strong military background. I was lucky enough to see first hand the military way of life due to growing up being the son of an Army Intelligence Analyst.…
Why should I be selected as Homecoming Queen? It is funny that you asked. This is a question that I have asked myself since freshman year when I saw my first UNCG Homecoming. How elegant, graceful and astute she appeared. Quite frankly, I could say I should be selected because I want it endearingly, but then again, whom would apply if not because she wanted it, craved it, desired it so lovingly?…
Going to college would mean a lot to me . It will help me further my plans and my future. My plans and future are bright. Attending college would be an honor to me. It will mean the world to me.…
Why do you want to be an NSU Shark? What would happen if a lion, who is the king of the jungle, combated against a shark, king of the deep blue sea? That would be a tremendous battle to lay eyes upon. The location where this catastrophic Massacre would takes place is vital. If it took place in the lion’s den, the shark will perish.…
