I chose Kean University because it offers my major, which is speech-language and hearing sciences. It also has a master's program in speech pathology. It is also a college that is very affordable. The tuition is much cheaper than the colleges that I apply for. Not only is it cheaper, but is very close to my house. Kean University is very diverse, and it offers so many programs and activities. 2.)
One of the goals and the objectives in life is to be a speech pathologist because I know that I will be able to help others and especially family. My little brother, John was one of many children who are wait-listed because there are not that many people who are pursuing this career. I want to fill that gap and help all ages to speak and communicate with others. I know that choosing this career requires someone to be responsible, organize, and good work ethic. At the end, taking these courses in high schools such as Psychology, Sociology,

This money could help me buy books when I go to school or even pay for school supplies this fall. I should be selected to receive this award because these four years in high school were all about dedication, determination, and hard work. Each year, I challenge myself and see if I can conquer the obstacles. If I win this award, it solidifies that all my hard work and sweat has paid off. I get these grades because that is what college wants and I want to go. Like I said, I want to be a speech pathologist and in order for me to do that, I need to start somewhere. I really appreciate others who want to give. Mr. Young is one of the people who believes that everyone who wants/needs to go college should not have that stress when it comes to money or any financial issues. Even if it is less money, it could go a long way. It shows that they are generous and even though they are not rich, they still want to help others in need. Hopefully, when I have enough money of my own, I can do the

I chose to attend Wor-Wic Community College because of the support system that Wor-Wic has to offer. I applied to the school and attended it while I was injured with a traumatic knee injury and the staff really proved to me that they cared. I had surgery the first week of classes,so I emailed my teacher and they were all understanding and extremely helpful in accommodating to my needs. The late computer lab hours really helped me to be able to get my school work done after my night classes ended. Everywhere that I go I advocate for Wor-Wic because it is truly more than an institution, it is like another family to me.…

I feel like I am a good candidate for this scholarship because, as a senior, any and all money earned and received will help me ease the burden of attending college. My goal throughout my whole childhood was to receive a full ride scholarship to the college of my dreams; however, as time has gone on and I have matured I have come to the realization that, that dream is not as achievable as I once believed it to be. I have worked hard, inside and outside of the classroom, making the grades and creating the resume that colleges are looking for, and in response I have been offered tuition waivers. Which ultimately means I am still responsible for paying for my books, room and board, part of the tuition cost, and mandatory fees.…

Achieving the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship would benefit my family tremendously since I am planning to go to the University of St. Thomas in Houston which is a private 4-year university meaning it will costly compare to public postsecondary institutions. Additionally, the scholarship provides a 5,000 dollar four-year renewable scholarship and it will be a great financial assistance towards my tuition to strive for Bachelor’s degree. I need this scholarship to help me fund for my attendance to college. Due to my parent’s income, I will not receive a substantial amount of financial aid because their income range is not considered to be financially need based which many scholarships look for. Therefore, while searching for scholarships, when I see a scholarship requirement…

Professional Statement It is both a rare and marvelous phenomenon when a person is able to assert that they have not only found their passion in life, but are capable of establishing a career out of that same passion. I am one of the providential individuals who have experienced this. I have been irrefutably certain of my passion for the field of speech-language pathology for many years, and as I find myself at the conclusion of undergraduate career, I can proudly state that my fervor has only continued to grow. While there may be many other individuals parallel to me, I wholeheartedly believe that my enthusiasm for the field, willingness to succeed, and resourceful intellect make me an unassailable candidate for a place in your Masters of Speech-Language Pathology program at Nazareth College. At present, I am completing my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, at Edinboro University.…
