Compare And Contrast Kansas State And Emporia State

Decent Essays
This essay is comparing the colleges of kansas state and emporia state. Between the two, i'm leaning towards K-State. The main differences between them are the size of the schools, the courses that they offer, and where they're located. Size matters when deciding a school. It affects your classes, how you get around, and the atmosphere of the school. Emporia State is a smaller school. Its campus is smaller but well equipped, and it's easy to get around. it also has smaller classes, so it's friendlier and you can get more attention from the teacher. K-state is a bigger school. it has a bigger campus, which means it has many facilities, but it takes awhile to get anywhere. it also has bigger classes, which means there will be less one-on-one

In freshman year I moved out of the school district with my mother, my brother, and my mother's boyfriend while my father moved into my old house. I was now left with two options: I could either continue to enroll in school at Massabesic High School or I could transfer to Kennebunk High School. See, my mother was just going to drive me to my existing bus stop every morning if I stayed at Massabesic but changing schools was starting to peak my interest. I started doing some research on both schools, making a compare and contrast chart while my knowledge grew. I looked at academics, statistics, student-to-teacher ratio and the whole nine-yards.…

Something big to contemplate when you're going into college is the teacher to student ratio. Do you work well in an environment with hundreds of students, or do you need if you were students in a classroom to be able to concentrate. UCF has a 31 to 1 student to teacher ratio, well FSU has a 25 to 1 student to teacher ratio. Also you have to consider the ratings of the teachers.…
