The greatest strengths I see in the K State Community are the club organizations and friendship, and I will be contributing in the best-suited club that fits me as a wild cat to make it feel as if I was home. With so many different club organizations to choose from it will make it easier to choose which club fits my personality. Also K State has good diversity within the campus, which will make it feel like I am home. Home has the comfortable feeling when you are with your friends and family just the way I will make it feel when I am with the wildcat community. Many people say college has been their best years of their life so I will also be making college a forever-memorable experience in my life.…
In freshman year I moved out of the school district with my mother, my brother, and my mother's boyfriend while my father moved into my old house. I was now left with two options: I could either continue to enroll in school at Massabesic High School or I could transfer to Kennebunk High School. See, my mother was just going to drive me to my existing bus stop every morning if I stayed at Massabesic but changing schools was starting to peak my interest. I started doing some research on both schools, making a compare and contrast chart while my knowledge grew. I looked at academics, statistics, student-to-teacher ratio and the whole nine-yards.…
I believe TCU is a great fit because I think it is the perfect school for me to develop into a productive adult. It is a prestigious school that honors discipline and hard-work which I believe are two characteristics I can work on. The level of education is also held at a high standard and I believe I can become a part of that. The campus also seems to be very friendly and welcoming and appears to be a school I can adjust to. I like the fact that it is a small campus which allows more individual…
I am interested in applying to SMU because it is a well rounded college. The business school at SMU is known for being fantastic and it really attracted me to the university. There seems to be a lot of school spirit around the athletic teams, most notably the football and basketball programs. Also, I really like the city of Dallas, even though I have only visited it a few times. I was particularly interested in the fact that SMU has a 11:1 student-faculty ratio because I like how the university can offer more individual attention.…
Discovering this college from the thousands of community colleges in the West Coast was difficult yet a wonderful experience. From California to Washington, there were numerous of community colleges that were the best of the best and the colleges were at beautiful places that I can’t even describe to you.. But, I picked Mt. Hood Community College as my community college of choice from the good reviews to the helpful website. I realized that Mt. Hood was the good choice after I read about the student life and the community of the college and the city of Gresham.…
My personal narrative essay is about my transfer from Bible Baptist to Savannah Christian and my feelings towards the process of transferring and the first day at Savannah Christian. Overall the transfer was better than I presumed it would be because I sustained a better education than I did at Bible Baptist. The transfer taught me that sometimes change is for the greater good. If I had the ability to go back in time and tell my future self-something about this situation it would be not to be nervous just breathe. Finding out I was going to a new school could be compared to when I found out my first fish had died, heartbreaking.…
Transferring to SIUE was not particularly my first choice after graduating in Robert Morris University (RMU). I was applying to transfer to different Universities such as SIU, SLU, WUSTL and UIS and other nearby university that is not to far away from home. I was accepted to five universities and I went to visit all of them where I admired each campuses. I was getting pressured from my mother to where will my next destination be, and I did not know what to tell her at that time. I came across to my aunt who has a son that attended SIUE, they brought me to the campus and gave me a little tour of what is what.…
So before conforming if I was going to attend California State University, Fresno I had to go to Fresno on a little trip to explore the place and look around if I was going to be comfortable living there or not. As I saw that is pretty lonely and a really reserve place I…
I am attending Florida SouthWestern because I am a dual enrolled student in their collegiate high school program. I applied for the dual enrollment program for a few reasons. My first reason is because I felt I wasn’t being challenged in school. I knew if I went to FSW I would be challenged and I would learn important life skills such as time management, critical thinking and organization skills. My second reason is because in eight grade I was bullied a lot, and I wanted a fresh start far away from everyone I knew.…
This is perhaps the most important thing for me. At first I was unsure about rather or not I would go to Kirkwood because I did not know what the program or facility was like. However, after visiting during a program conference I knew that I would like it and that it would help me achieve my goals. The second reason…
My education has been an important aspect of the person which I am. When I was young my family moved a lot, from house to house. The only thing which only stayed constant in my life was where I went to school. I had the chance in switching schools, but all I wanted was somewhere which I can call home, I like going to a place in which I would feel appreciated and invited. I would always see that in the friendly faces of my classmates and faculty.…
I would recommend MTSU to anyone looking for higher learning. The staff and professors are friendly, supportive, and willing to help everyone succeed. It is a great school for anyone looking for academic challenge, in a relaxing environment. There are also many student resources available throughout the campus. There are many things to do fun on and near campus.…
College. The very thing that many of us young adults think about from the end of middle school through senior year. For some, the entire process seems to be so natural while others spend years questioning if they will even make it there. I am one of those students that spent years questioning if I could make it there. " Statistically" I should be a high school dropout and college was out of the question because most of my family did not go.…
When presented with stressful situations, I evaluate my surroundings and make decisions regarding my course of action based on priority. 2. When managing my time, I first calculate the timeframe that I have in which to complete my tasks, then prioritize them based on urgency. 3. I believe that the adjective that best describes me is "creative.…
Final Reflection For my major I have chosen Elementary Education, I believe that this major will be the best fit for me because of my passion for working with kids. Next fall, I plan on enrolling at Mayland Community College and hope to earn my associate’s degree and then I am going to transfer to a four- year university to earn my bachelor’s degree. The top three colleges I am considering for transfer are East Tennessee State University, Appalachian State University, and Mars Hill University. I have not applied to any of these colleges yet, so, therefore, I haven’t been accepted yet. I would begin going to the University in the fall of 2018 and I would hopefully graduate the spring of 2020.…
