In our society today, new diseases arise, the percentage of people affected by current diseases increases and consequently new drugs are developed. With the complexity of these diseases, it is vivid that effective patient care needs to be provided by more that one profession. Interprofessional collaboration is no doubt an important aspect of healthcare profession. Before joining pharmacy school, I had a general idea of what entails interprofessional practice. I was aware of the importance of working as a team, but was not aware of how to effectively develop adequate relationships. However, after learning more about the practice and working as an intern, I have come to appreciate the importance of interprofessional practice even more as well
