I feel that I have demonstrated the below outcomes through out the semester. I demonstrates personal and professional behavior, beliefs, and values reflective of the SSW Standards of Practice, SSW Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics. I demonstrate respect for and adherence with the Field Placement Setting mission, values and organizational culture, policies and practices. I demonstrate this by following the rules of the school, I wear appropriate and professional clothes that abide by the schools dress code. I have familiarized myself with the mission values through

Well done Anees, I have seen an improvement in your writing style from marking your first assignment, this demonstrates your commitment and ability to recognise and act on your own learning needs to further develop your knowledge and skills for social work. This portfolio demonstrates you are now beginning to make links between theory and practice, having an awareness and an understanding of social work theories and how they can be applied in practice. This is particularly evident within your SWLC and communication assignments, where you demonstrated your knowledge of theories of communication and attachment and applied them to case examples from your practice. I can see you are developing your awareness of legislation and social policy related…

Just overall, I show great school spirit in anything the school puts on. For example, during dress up week during the fall, I dress up every week, because I want to show other students that dressing up or getting involved with school activities is “cool”, because it so is! Or if student council is putting on a badminton tournament, or DREAM Team is putting on a dodgeball tournament, I encourage students to participate in those events, because being involved in those types of school activities is what keeps you out of trouble, and it keeps you…

With many individuals receiving help from social workers, I was convinced to choose this profession because I saw social work as a way to help individuals overcome these challenges. Knowing that I have helped the organization assist children and their families with preparing the children for grade school, and that I helped provide them with important resources will be my greatest reward. Also, learning that I am a person who works well with others played a role in confirming my choice of social work. Working well with others in order to care for the children are one of the reasons the organization is helping the children progress in school…

Since researching this topic, my nursing practice has changed in the way that I interview, assess, and treat my clients. Throughout my education in nursing school I was always taught a more holistic approach, however I was never truly conducting my assessments and interviews with clients within this matter. I am always respectable and caring towards clients, but in my past practices within clinical, my focus was primarily on the disease process and preventing the disease from worsening. Within this semester I have improved my practice, with the help of this research, to not only treat the disease process, but to use the same focus as CAM and treat the person as a whole. I found this to also help in establishing better client-caregiver relationships.…

on the school website. 3.2 Methods of communicating a school’s ethos, mission, aims and values It is important to communicate the school’s aims and values as much as possible, because when staff and pupils have a good code of conduct and pride in their school it will make a good impression. Aims, values and rules should be displayed around the school and on the playground to remind staff and pupils alike and make sure everybody knows what is expected of them and how to behave and how to play. Rules and mottos might be put up in the classrooms at different academic levels so the message will get across at the right level for the pupils of that class e.g. in the reception classes the mission, aims and values might be communicated by pictures rather than text.…

My job as a chemistry teaching assistant also required a combination of personal and practical skills and ability to be assertive without arrogance. Each week the students had to submit a heavy load of assignments, and keeping track of grading alone required a developed level in time efficiency, accountability, and organizing skills. I had to be knowledgeable enough about the subject to comprise worksheet, practice exams, review sessions, and grade fairly. I also had to know how to communicate that knowledge to the students: proving feedback on misunderstood requirements, clearly answering any questions they had about the material. I knew an accelerated chemistry course can be overwhelming, I always encouraged and motivated the students when…
