Letter To Edinboro University Personal Statement

I am writing this letter to allow the continuance of my academic enrollment here at Edinboro University. I started this journey almost a year ago when I enrolled at Edinboro University in the spring semester of 2015. Prior to graduating high school, I thought I knew what my plans were for my future. I was accepted into Fortis Institute for their Licensed Practical Nursing program. As I was a mile from the school, about to walk in and sign the papers to make it official I thought of Edinboro. I looked at my mom and said, “I think I want to go to Edinboro instead.”. She was angry we drove an hour to only turn around a mile before getting there, but the look on her face was pure happiness. It felt so good knowing I was passing all my classes and getting over 100%’s on my tests. At the end of my first semester my GPA was a .84, at the end of my second semester I brought my GPA up to a 1.9! I was so proud of myself and that gave me the belief in myself that I have never had before. I received a satisfactory in my math class, and A in my Politics class, a C in my Sociology class, and a C+ in my Psych class. Bringing my GPA up that drastically in ONE semester is very rewarding. I am so excited to start this coming spring semester to show just how much MORE I can continue bringing up my GPA. Please do not let one semester of bad judgement and misunderstandings get in the way of my future. I will continue to succeed. If you fail at something, never give up because F-A-I-L means, “first attempt in learning”. My first semester was my first attempt at learning in a different style, and I am not giving up. Please allow me the chance to prove to you that I can and will continue to bring up my GPA. I would love nothing more than to continue my education here at Edinboro University without having to take a semester off. Thank you for your
